Anniversary Dinner

We headed out to Anacortes for dinner, but not sure exactly where we were headed to. (Sure, leave it up to the pregnant person to decide!!) We drove down Commercial Avenue and saw a few places that looked interesting. We saw one with what looked like a band playing (saw a big stand-up bass and an accordion player) through the window so decided to park and walk by to see what it was like. (We could actually hear the music rolling the car windows down as we were driving by!)






So we thought it was a great sound and walked into the very busy Rock Fish Grill and Anacortes Brewery and got seated right away. It was a hoppin' place! We instantly loved the music. A Bluegrass style - D's favorite!! So I got to go to Anacortes, and Big D got to have beer and listen to bluegrass. It was a perfect night!!







The band was Spoonshine Duo and their music was great! We understand they play there every third Wednesday. We might have to go back. We did buy one CD from them that night - have to have something to remember your 10th Anniversary, right? (Certainly not another baby!!) If you are around the area, I encourage you to go get some entertainment and excellent food from the Rock Fish Grill - here is the event calendar. Also, Spoonshine has some free MP3s to download if you like this kind of stuff on their website here, but they were fun to see live. It was, as Big D would say, "some miiighty fine a-pickin' and a-singin' "!! Or was that Lund (Stephen Root) in Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?
